KMC DERMATOLOGY
Mission
Mr. Dean has been in practice since 2002 and joined our team in 2012. Originally from Maryville, MO, he attended Truman State University (Kirksville, MO) and earned his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Midwestern University (Downers Grove, IL). Mr. Dean specializes in rashes and particularly allergic contact dermatitis, for which he conducts patch testing for all our Kansas City-area patients. He sees patients at our Mission location.

Fun Facts: "The thing I'm proudest of in my career is becoming a diplomate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. This requires extra training and tests, and is the highest achievement possible for a derm PA. I was the first SDPA diplomate in the KC area."

Mission
Ms. Byers was born and raised in Kansas City. She is a nationally certified physician assistant (PA) who graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with bachelor's degrees in biology and chemistry. She earned a master's of science degree in physician assistant studies at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in 2017.
Prior to joining KMC, she practiced in acute care/internal medicine and neurosurgery while maintaining a strong interest in dermatology. Currently, she's excited to be working with an excellent group of providers who evaluate and treat a variety of skin, hair, and nail conditions with compassionate patient-centered care.
When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys reading a good book, traveling, and most importantly, spending time with her wonderful husband and precious daughter while exploring Kansas City.
