COVID-19 Vaccine Availability in Wyandotte County

The Wyandotte County health department has launched a survey for community members to register for upcoming vaccines. Community members who are age 65+ AND who live or work in Wyandotte County can indicate to the health department that they want the vaccine when it is available. When completing the survey they will be asked about their age, other risk factors, sector of employment, and so forth. Completing the survey will allow the Wyandotte County health department to contact individuals in various phases of our vaccine effort. For example, if a 70-year-old person completes the survey they will receive a call/text/email directly from the health department to be scheduled as soon as we are able to vaccinate individuals who are 65 and older.

You can find the survey here: www.bit.ly/WyCoVaccineForm or you can go to www.wycokck.org/COVID-19 and click on the
“WyCo Vaccine Interest Form” button at the top.

Increased Safety Precautions at All KMC Locations

At KMC, our goal is to ensure the safety of patients and staff alike. What we are doing to keep you safe:

-
Screening questions are being reviewed with every patient, at the time the appointment is scheduled and again when the patient arrives in the office.
-
Patients who would be a good fit for telehealth are being offered virtual visits for their appointment in order to reduce the number of patients in the office.
-
All patients are asked to bring and wear a face mask to their scheduled in-office visit.
-
In order to limit the number of people in the office at any given time, we are asking that patients not bring a support person with them unless absolutely necessary.
-
We’ve stepped up our cleaning protocols. We’re cleaning all frequently touched surfaces i.e. the entrance elevator buttons, door handles, keyboards, credit card machines.
-
In the lobby, we have chairs 6 feet apart and are limiting the number of patients.
-
Temperatures will be checked upon arrival.
