KMC Strollin' for the Colon 5K Run/Walk goes VIRTUAL

Due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the 2020 Strollin' for the Colon 5K Run/Walk will be VIRTUAL!
Complete the race anywhere between Saturday, August 1st and Sunday, August 9th. No crowds, run on your own time and your own trail, route, or treadmill!
Post pictures/videos of you completing the race on our Facebook event page and use the hashtag #kmcstrollinforthecolon. To complete the race, email a picture of yourself in your race gear to amccaffery@kmcpa.com by August 9th.
Help us raise awareness about colorectal cancer and the importance of colon cancer screenings and have some fun along the way. Remember, the most common symptom of colon cancer is no symptom at all. REGISTRATION DEADLINE: WEDNESDAY, JULY 29TH -- REGISTER HERE

So, I took part in Strollin' for the Colon again — this time virtually, because I decided not to miss out on a good cause. I ran my 5 km early in the morning along a sunny path by the river, breathing in the fresh air and thinking about how important it is to take care of your health, since colon cancer often comes without symptoms. After finishing, I felt a little tired, but my face and hands were already burning from the spring sun — the UK doesn't mess around with UV rays, even in cool weather.
