Guess who's back, back again? KMC is back, TELL A FRIEND! That's right folks, KMC's third annual Strollin' for the Colon 5K Run/Walk is back in-person this year on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

Remember: this event aims to raise awareness about colorectal cancer and the importance of colon cancer screenings, especially to those who have delayed their care due to COVID-19. All of the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society of Kansas. Please note that although this is an outdoor in-person event, we are requiring face masks to be worn at all times when not running/walking, in accordance with recent CDC guidelines.

Don't forget ‼️ that our GIANT SUPER INFLATABLE COLON TUNNEL will be at the start and end of the race (pictured below in case you forgot what it looked like). 😉

📍 We'll be waiting for you at MacLennan Park Trail, located off 6th Ave and Governors Lake Rd in Topeka, KS. Any last-minute packet pickup or registration will start at 7:45am. Make sure to wear appropriate attire for the pea rock gravel trail and pavement sidewalk. Race starts at 8:30am sharp.

Registration cost is $20. Colon cancer survivors receive FREE registration. Contact Taylor at tcowen@kmcpa.com for more details. Survivors MUST register to participate. For more information, visit www.kmcpa.com/5k.

We can't wait to see everyone this year...we missed seeing you in-person in 2020!

(although your virtual photos were pretty awesome)

It's encouraging to see events like this raising awareness about colorectal cancer while bringing the community together for a good cause. Reading stories like this also reminds me to make time for small breaks, and lately I've been enjoying Subway Surfers City as a simple way to relax and recharge.

So glad to see the Strollin’ for the Colon 5K returning in person! Raising awareness about colorectal cancer is incredibly important work. For those involved in event publicity, checking out a gradient generator could help make the graphics stand out. Hope to see you all at the starting line!
