Guess who's back, back again? KMC is back, TELL A FRIEND! That's right folks, KMC's third annual Strollin' for the Colon 5K Run/Walk is back in-person this year on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

Remember: this event aims to raise awareness about colorectal cancer and the importance of colon cancer screenings, especially to those who have delayed their care due to COVID-19. All of the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society of Kansas. Please note that although this is an outdoor in-person event, we are requiring face masks to be worn at all times when not running/walking, in accordance with recent CDC guidelines.

Don't forget ‼️ that our GIANT SUPER INFLATABLE COLON TUNNEL will be at the start and end of the race (pictured below in case you forgot what it looked like). 😉

📍 We'll be waiting for you at MacLennan Park Trail, located off 6th Ave and Governors Lake Rd in Topeka, KS. Any last-minute packet pickup or registration will start at 7:45am. Make sure to wear appropriate attire for the pea rock gravel trail and pavement sidewalk. Race starts at 8:30am sharp.

Registration cost is $20. Colon cancer survivors receive FREE registration. Contact Taylor at tcowen@kmcpa.com for more details. Survivors MUST register to participate. For more information, visit www.kmcpa.com/5k.

We can't wait to see everyone this year...we missed seeing you in-person in 2020!

(although your virtual photos were pretty awesome)

This 5K event raising colon cancer awareness is such a meaningful initiative, it’s wonderful to see so many people coming together to support this important cause. After a day of walking and gathering with friends, nothing beats winding down with a quiet Gongfu tea ritual to relax your body and mind. In Ragdoll Hit, every punch, jump, and attack feels unpredictable because of the hilarious ragdoll physics that make each fight unique.

I love seeing local events like this coming back in person, especially for such an important cause. The reminder about keeping up with screenings even after COVID delays really hits home. After a good training run for the 5K, I usually unwind with eggy car game to clear my mind and relax before race day—it’s a fun little distraction that still keeps my reflexes sharp.

this 5k event looks great for a cause! the inflatable tunnel setup is so creative. i’m a sucker for interactive displays, which is why i’ve been obsessed with exhibit of sorrows lately. it’s a point-and-click horror game where you interact with creepy museum exhibits to uncover a dark story. definitely check it out if you want a top-tier atmosphere!
