Dr. Ashraf Sufi is Board Certified in Internal Medicine(1976) and Gastroenterology(1979). He earned his medical degree from University of Karachi, Pakistan in 1968. His post-graduate training was at Wayne State University of Detroit, Michigan where he finished his three years of Internal Medicine Residency and 2 years of Gastroenterology fellowship. He and his wife, Dr.Qaiser Sufi moved to Topeka in 1977. He worked for Santa Fe; Memorial Hospital for three years and in 1980 started his own Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology practice. In 1998 he was one of the co-founders of Kansas Medical Clinic.
Dr. Sufi was president of medical staff of Stormont Vail Hospital in 1995, President of Shawnee County Medical Society in 1999 and President of Islamic Medical Association of North America in 2008. He has been the medical director of Topeka Endoscopy Center every three years since its inception. He is versatile in all GI endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy and therapeutic ERCP. His other interest is Medical Relief work in United States and other parts of the World.
